Fundraising Manager

Art For Action is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization devoted to making a lasting impact through artistic expression. To accomplish our goals, we have established a collaborative community of talented, service-driven individuals who utilize their artistic abilities to benefit society. Through the sale of artwork, corporate sponsorships, and generous donor contributions, Art For Action leads direct programs and supports charitable initiatives in the fields of cancer research & patient care, childhood education, global health, and more.

Art For Action is seeking to add a Fundraising Manager to lead fundraising and development activities for the organization.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Fundraising Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the fundraising strategy of the organization, cultivating and maintaining positive relationships with donors, communicating with the organization’s donor base, and serving as a liaison to organizational leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop holistic Art For Action fundraising strategy around donors, corporate partners, grants, and any other core fundraising channels

  • Build out fundraising staff and oversee all fundraising efforts of the organization

  • Obtains contacts for potential donors, makes telephone or in-person contact, and introduces donors to the Executive Director

  • Establish a donor membership program and source / cultivate positive relationships with prospective donors; manage and increase overall giving

  • Investigate and develop corporate giving opportunities; manage a corporate fundraising strategy and work to continue the development of key corporate relationships

  • Maintains professional and friendly relationships with foundation grantors, and updates them on how their grant funds are being utilized throughout the year

  • Coordinate fundraising events

  • Lead fundraising and income generation for key projects, including specific fundraising appeals and the development of effective and appropriate fundraising products

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Corporate Management, or a related field preferred

  • 3+ years of fundraising experience in a nonprofit environment, with preferably 1+ year of senior leadership experience

  • Fundraising expertise in the areas of (i) individual donations; (ii) grants and grant writing; and (iii) corporations sponsorships / partnerships

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Independent thinker with a desire to implement their own ideas / strategies and execute on a vision for the organization
